Hey RotoBallers, welcome back to more fantasy football rankings. While most fantasy titles have already been decided, some fantasy leagues play until the end of the NFL regular season. There are still some championships to play for, and we've got you covered with our Week 18 fantasy football FLEX rankings.
Fantasy managers will be without Christian McCaffrey, Kyren Williams, Rashee Rice, Cooper Kupp, DeVonta Smith, Amari Cooper, Raheem Mostert, and Jaylen Waddle this week. As we get closer to kickoff, more players could be rested or ruled out for the season finale. The rankings will continue to update as more news comes out. Below, you will see where key FLEX options such as Ty Chandler, Kenneth Gainwell, Pierre Strong Jr., Gerald Everett, Calvin Ridley, Greg Dortch, and Julio Jones rank in Week 18.
Our PPR fantasy football rankings for Week 18 are assembled by Nick Mariano, Scott Engel, Andersen Pickard, and Brandon Murchinson. Week 18 Fantasy Football FLEX Outlooks and Rankings Analysis
A new feature has been added to our weekly fantasy football rankings article. Below, you will find our fantasy football outlooks for key FLEX options in Week 18, which gives readers a matchup preview of that player and advice on whether to start or avoid for the upcoming week. We provide outlooks for all 32 NFL teams, which can be found on our player profile pages and our fantasy football news desk.
Julio Jones, WR, Philadelphia Eagles
Week 18 FLEX PPR Rank: 134
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Julio Jones will face off against the Giants in New York in Week 18. The veteran receiver has not had a huge role since signing with the Eagles earlier this season, but he scored twice last week against Arizona and could now see his role increase in the regular season finale. DeVonta Smith (ankle) has already been ruled out for Sunday, leaving Jones the clear top option to take over as the No. 2 receiver. Quez Watkins has played the slot role for the majority of the year, while Olamide Zaccheaus has been moved all over the formation.
While fantasy managers can not count on Smith-levels of production from the future hall of famer, they can view Jones as a cheap dart throw with high upside in daily fantasy formats after he scored twice last weekend.
Pierre Strong Jr., RB, Cleveland Browns
Week 18 FLEX PPR Rank: 52
Cleveland Browns running back Pierre Strong Jr. has seen just 49 carries for 226 yards as the team's No. 3 RB this season. He could be in store for an increased role in Week 18 against the Cincinnati Bengals, however. The Browns have already locked up the No. 5 seed in the AFC and don't have much to play for in the regular-season finale. The team hasn't ruled Jerome Ford or Kareem Hunt out yet, but it wouldn't be a surprise if both running backs sat out of Week 18.
If that happens, Strong would operate as the team's lead back against a Cincinnati defense that is allowing the 14th-most fantasy points per game to running backs this season. Strong sets up as a solid flex option in season-long formats and an interesting RB2 in DFS contests this weekend.
Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
Week 18 FLEX PPR Rank: 44
New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson has managed to turn in a productive campaign despite the team's quarterback woes. He'll hope to conclude his second professional season on a high note against the New England Patriots in Week 18. While the Patriots defense has been formidable, it has given up a fair amount of fantasy production to receivers. This contest is not expected to feature much scoring but Wilson should get enough opportunities to remain a viable fantasy option. The 23-year-old has amassed 25 looks over the past two weeks with Trevor Siemian under center and thus can be viewed as a solid WR2 on Sunday.
Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos
Week 18 FLEX PPR Rank: 63
Denver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton (concussion) suffered a concussion in Week 16 that kept him out of the Week 17 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, but he was able to practice in full on Thursday and Friday and has been cleared to return for the Week 18 regular-season finale on Sunday against the division-rival Las Vegas Raiders. The 28-year-old has had a fabulous 2023 season, catching a career-high 10 touchdowns, which is tied for third among all wideouts.
But despite his red-zone prowess, Sutton ranks as the WR27 in half-PPR points with only 58 receptions for 770 yards in his 15 games played. All of his production this year came with Russell Wilson at quarterback for the Broncos, so Sutton probably won't be worth his DFS price for the regular season finale now that Jarrett Stidham is Denver's starter under center.
Clyde Edwards-Helaire, RB, Kansas City Chiefs
Week 18 FLEX PPR Rank: 93
Kansas City Chiefs running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) will return from a one-game absence in Week 18 versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Edwards-Helaire missed Week 17's win over the Cincinnati Bengals with an illness, clearing the way for Isiah Pacheco (quadriceps/shoulder) to take on a heavy 92.3% snap share. But with Pacheco questionable to play on Sunday, Edwards-Helaire could be thrust back into a featured role if K.C.'s lead back cannot give it a go.
Jerick McKinnon (groin) is on injured reserve, leaving La'Mical Perine as the next man up behind Edwards-Helaire on the Chiefs' depth chart. In two games without Pacheco this season, CEH rounded up 169 total yards and one touchdown on 30 touches. The 24-year-old former first-rounder is volatile in a game of no consequence for the Chiefs but should be deemed RB2/3 playable, considering Pacheco may only receive a slight workload even if he suits up.
