The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 5.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Jalen Brunson OVER 7.5 Assists - Since the New York Knicks traded for OG Anunoby, Jalen Brunson morphed into an assist-making machine. Posting a combined 27 dimes in his previous two outings, Brunson comes into the Philadelphia 76ers territory with a chance at recording three consecutive games of 10-plus assists.

While recording a third consecutive double-double seems out of character for the Villanova alum, Anunoby's presence allows for more spacing, consequently creating more opportunities for Brunson to manifest assists. Tap the over on 7.5 assists for Brunson.
Joel Embiid OVER 11.5 Rebounds - Betting the under on Joel Embiid's points and rebounds feels like a trap every time. For the record, I barely covered the last time I went under on Embiid points. However, this time, we focus on rebounds, which Embiid seemingly accumulates in his sleep like sheep. Playing without Mitchell Robinson (ankle injury), the Knicks' big-man depth chart lacks the bodies to contend with the behemoth-of-a-man Embiid. Bang the over on 11.5 rebounds for the reigning MVP.
Simone Fontecchio UNDER 9.5 Points - Never have I written this next name in any writing medium: Simone Fontecchio. However, thanks to his recent three-game stretch of scoring double figures, the Italy native earned prop bet listings. Winning four of their last five games, the surging Utah Jazz are creeping up on the struggling Los Angeles Lakers for the 10-seed.

Despite such recent success, the Boston Celtics potentially offer a sobering realization for Utah that it is not ready for the big time, and that goes for Fontecchio, too. While it was fun on social media as the Jazz wing made the most of his run, the buck stops in Boston. Smash the under on 9.5 points for Fontecchio.
Collin Sexton OVER 0.5 Steals+Blocks - Seldom does PrizePicks offer a 0.5 combined steals and blocks line. Typically, such a prop has at least a 1.5 line. However, PrizePicks provided a seemingly "easy" line for Jazz guard Collin Sexton to cover. It doesn't take much analytical research to understand the odds of Sexton tripping into a steal, even against the championship-contender Celtics, as they tend to get a little loose with the ball (here's looking at you, Jaylen Brown).
Take the chance while you can and take the over on a combined 0.5 steals and blocks for Sexton.
