Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith has hauled in 81 passes for 1,066 yards, and seven touchdowns this season. Although he's been a boom-or-bust fantasy option over the last two seasons, he has plenty of value and is a must-start wide receiver in most or all matchups.
However, the third-year pro suffered an injury in the team's Week 17 upset loss to the Arizona Cardinals, putting his status in doubt for Week 18. Many fantasy leagues are wrapped up, but some continue to play until Week 18, and there are always DFS contests to play in.
Will Smith play against the New York Giants in Week 18? What's his fantasy outlook if he suits up? Let's get into it.

DeVonta Smith Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Smith (ankle) was still on crutches and wearing a walking boot on Monday, according to head coach Nick Sirianni. When asked about Smith's status for the Week 18 regular season game against the New York Giants this Sunday, Sirianni only said, "We'll see."
The Eagles said that Smith is dealing with a mild ankle sprain, but regardless, his status for this weekend is up in the air as the Eagles look for a win to have a chance to win the NFC East. We'll have a better idea of whether the 25-year-old will play once the Eagles begin practicing on Wednesday.
If Smith cannot go against the G-Men, Quez Watkins, Julio Jones and Olamide Zaccheaus would have bigger roles in the passing game behind A.J. Brown and tight end Dallas Goedert. Smith caught three passes for 30 yards on Sunday before getting hurt.
DeVonta Smith Fantasy Football Outlook
If Smith suits up on Sunday, he's a must-start fantasy option against a Giants defense that has surrendered the fifth-most fantasy points per game to wide receiver. In the Week 16 meeting with the Giants, Smith caught four passes for 79 yards and a touchdown, so he clearly created matchup problems.
In DFS, he's always an interesting option since he's priced considerably lower than A.J. Brown. Over the last month of the season, the two wideouts have not been far apart in production.
