NBA Underdog Predictions - Today's DFS Prop Picks for Wednesday, January 3, 2024

Tyrese Haliburton - NBA DFS Lineup Picks, Daily Fantasy Basketball

Happy Wednesday, RotoBallers! Welcome to our Underdog Fantasy NBA DFS prop picks for the games on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. Welcome to our brand new NBA DFS series covering Underdog Fantasy contests! We will continue to focus on the NBA DFS props offered on Underdog called Higher/Lower (Over/Under).

Higher/Lower is traditional over/under DFS prop picks -- whether you think a player will score Over or Under the set lines, and choosing your amount. You can parlay multiple picks together to vastly increase the juice (e.g., three picks = 6x your bet). Underdog Fantasy offers some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. At Underdog Fantasy, you're not playing against other people -- you're just playing against the projections.

Announcement: We have two awesome new Props Optimizers for the MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA! The PrizePicks Optimizer and Prop Bets Optimizer are both available in our new Props Premium Package, which includes exclusive access to RotoBaller's VIP Discord chat rooms for props and betting.

Jalen Brunson, 25.5 Points (LOWER)

New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson has thrived as a number one option in New York since leaving the Dallas Mavericks. Brunson is averaging over 25 points and six assists per game this season. The Knicks take on the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. The Bulls allow the fewest points per game to point guards this season, limiting them to an average of 20.25 points per game. Brunson is a scorer but also a distributor, so look for him to be more of the latter in this contest.

Jordan Poole, 16.5 Points (LOWER)

Washington Wizards guard Jordan Poole has disappointed since leaving the Golden State Warriors. Poole flashed great potential in the Bay Area, but that has yet to translate to consistent production. Poole can score 30 points or 5 points on any given night, which offers some context to his 17.2 points per game this season. The Wizards take on the Cleveland Cavaliers today. The Cavaliers allow the fewest points per game to shooting guards, allowing an average of 18.77 points.

Fred VanVleet, 8.0 Assists (LOWER)

Houston Rockets guard Fred VanVleet is averaging the most assists per game of his career with 8.5 per game. VanVleet has demonstrated his ability as a scorer in the past, but he was inefficient in that role. Transitioning to the team's leading distributor is a role better suited for him. That said, the Rockets take on the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. The Nets are among the top teams in limiting assists from point guards.

Tyrese Haliburton, 25.5 Points (HIGHER)

Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton is having a breakout season, averaging 24.7 points, 12.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds, and 3.5 three-pointers made per game. The Pacers take on the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Since the departure of Jrue Holiday in the trade to acquire Damian Lillard, the Bucks have taken a massive step back in terms of perimeter defense. The Bucks allow the third-most points per game to opposing point guards, so Haliburton should take advantage of the matchup.

Clint Capela, 10.5 Rebounds (HIGHER)

Atlanta Hawks center Clint Capela has always been known for his ability to corral boards, and this season is no different. Capela is averaging 10.7 rebounds per game and has grabbed 12 or more boards in three of his last four games. The Hawks take on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday. The Thunder have allowed the third-most rebounds per game to centers this season, so Capela should be in for another big night on the glass.

Cade Cunningham, 8.0 Assists (HIGHER)

Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham has been one of the best players on what is arguably the worst team in the NBA so far this season. The Pistons are showing signs of life, and Cunningham is also. The Pistons guard has at least nine assists in his last three games and will face the Utah Jazz on Wednesday. The Jazz allow the most assists per game to opposing point guards, so Cunningham should be able to keep his streak rolling.
