The 2023-2024 NBA season is here, and our friends over at PrizePicks still have a TON of great props we can look to take advantage of. PrizePicks is a great DFS props site where you can choose to select plays in terms of fantasy points or single stats. The goal is to build a 2-player, 3-player, 4-player, or 5-player entry and then select whether or not you want to play for the power or flex play. On the power play, you will need to be correct on each of your selections to win, and on the flex play, you will have a little more wiggle room for a chance to win some money back.
Our partners at PrizePicks offer some of the industry's best and easiest-to-win NBA DFS games. There are no large-field tournaments filled with sharks where you have to get lucky just to place. At PrizePicks, you're not playing against other people, you're just playing against the projections, and the guys at PrizePicks have worked hard to give you really attractive opportunities to make some money. With promo code 'BALLER' you can get a 100% match on your deposit up to $100.
PrizePicks has two types of games. The first type of game is known as Fantasy Score, which consists of selecting various players and trying to determine if they will go over or under their projected fantasy points in a game. The second game is known as Single Stat. For the NBA, Single Stat consists of points, rebounds, assists, three-pointers made, and free throws made, in which you determine if the player in question will go over or under their projected total. You can mix and match players from each type of game in your entry or select all of your plays from the same type of game. Once you have selected your players and props, you can choose the aforementioned flex play or power play option. Today, we will look at some single-stat scores for tonight, January 3.
Single Stat NBA Totals - DFS Prop Picks
Editor's Note: Prize Picks prop totals are not always available first thing in the morning, so check back during the day, as other props may be added during the day.
Luka Doncic OVER 0.5 Blocks - Over are the days of minimum defensive effort from Luka Doncic. Withstanding the damning narrative surrounding his lack of defensive prowess, Doncic tallied seven blocks in his five past performances. At home vs. the Portland Trail Blazers, look for Doncic to recover from an ugly showing against the Utah Jazz on New Year's Day. For all his wonderous acts on offense, Doncic's dedication to defense warrants more attention. Take the over on 0.5 blocks for Doncic, and don't forget his defense like the media did.
Malik Beasley UNDER 0.5 Turnovers - While choking up the ball once a game in today's high-speed NBA seems normal, doing anything other than shooting the ball sounds out of character for Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard Malik Beasley. In 11 games, Beasley only recorded three turnovers, which occurred all in the same contest. With Giannis Antetokounmpo, Damian Lillard, and Khris Middleton on the court, why do anything other than catch and shoot?
Although the spike in pace from playing the Indiana Pacers causes a slight concern, Beasley won't have the ball long enough to do anything other than shoot. Pound the under on 0.5 turnovers as the numerous wide-open, catch-and-shoot opportunities discourage Beasley from passing the ball.
Collin Sexton OVER 17.5 Points - Collin Sexton found his groove while Jordan Clarkson nursed his injury. Moreover, Sexton continued his 20-plus point production once Clarkson recovered from a hamstring strain. Scoring a mere eight points in a blowout victory over Dallas broke a three-game streak of scoring 20 points or more for Sexton.

Set at 17.5 points, Wednesday's line seems low for someone who's scored over such a number in 10 of 12 games. Riding high off beating the Mavericks, losing to the woeful Detroit Pistons is unlikely for the Jazz. Mash the over on 17.5 points for Sexton as the Pistons offer little to no resistance on defense.
Ivica Zubac OVER 9.5 Rebounds - Of all the big names and props to go with them, the Phoenix Suns vs. Los Angeles Clippers game has to offer, the big man matchup of Ivica Zubac and Jusuf Nurkic mark the x-factor in my opinion. Reaching double-digit rebound figures in four of his previous five games warrants a bet in favor of Zubac. Although Nurkic rivals Zubac on the boards, as the Suns center averaged 12 rebounds in his last nine outings, Zubac plays a more physical game.
Thankfully, the game doesn't revolve around who gets more boards. Covering the over on 9.5 rebounds seems manageable for Zubac, even against a formidable opponent in Nurkic. Press the over for Zubac and enjoy the show.
