For many, the fantasy season ended in Week 17. However, there are plenty of leagues that play through the final week of the season in the true spirit of the NFL. If you are in one of those leagues, then this article is for you.
Week 18 introduces plenty of chaos with teams trying to rest veterans (if in the playoffs) or benching starters to get a better look at younger players. However, the fantasy season doesn’t rest, which means we need to embrace the chaos to win. This article will contain three players at the quarterback position to consider if you need a win.
In this article, I will be focusing on players under 65% rostered in fantasy leagues while adding a couple of deep sleepers for two-quarterback leagues (less than 25% rostered). Let’s look at who you should consider picking up in Week 18 below.

Fantasy Quarterbacks to Add in Week 18
Joe Flacco, Cleveland Browns
Yahoo: 34% rostered
Joe Flacco is inevitable. The Browns quarterback entered Week 17’s game against the New York Jets with every reason to fail. The Browns were missing Amari Cooper. The Jets had the best pass defense in the NFL this season. And then Flacco persevered.
Flacco completed 19 of 29 pass attempts for 309 yards and three touchdowns with just one interception without his top receiving weapon. It was Flacco’s first game in Cleveland with fewer than 42 pass attempts. Despite that, he put together his fourth straight 300+ yard performance and fifth straight game with 16+ fantasy points.
Flacco has played like a QB1 since signing in Cleveland and could have a big game against a Bengals secondary that has given up 4,300 yards and 20 passing touchdowns this season.
Tyrod Taylor, New York Giants
Yahoo: 4% rostered
It is rare at this point in the season to find a dual-threat quarterback, but Tyrod Taylor presents that upside.
Taylor made his first start since Week 7 against the Commanders in Week 17 and proceeded to put up 300 passing yards and a touchdown while adding 40 rushing yards. Taylor put up a 20-point performance in a shootout loss to the Rams.
Now, Taylor gets a Week 18 matchup against the Eagles, who have been the worst fantasy defense against quarterbacks this season. Tyrod played a half against the Eagles in Week 16 and was able to put up 11.0 fantasy points.
If you’re looking for a boom-or-bust play, you could do worse than Taylor in the Giants’ offense. He could have a big day if he gets the ball out fast against the Eagles’ offensive line.
Derek Carr, New Orleans Saints
Yahoo: 48% rostered
It has been an underwhelming season for Derek Carr, but he is getting hot at the right time.
Carr had his fourth straight game with at least 15.0 fantasy points against the Buccaneers in Week 17. It wasn’t a big day through the air for Carr (197 yards and two touchdowns), but he was wildly efficient in blowout conditions. Over his last three games, Carr has an eight-to-one touchdown-to-interception ratio.
The quarterback will have a chance to continue his hot streak against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 18. Carr threw for over 300 yards in their first matchup but didn’t get any touchdowns. He should provide a solid floor and could have a big upside in the matchup.
