"Must Start" Week 17 Starts and Sits - QB and WR
Matt Donnelly's top fantasy football Starts and Sits at WR & QB positions for Week 17 of the 2023 NFL season, including:
-
-
- Rashee Rice - The rookie managed to keep his foot on the gas in Week 16's surprising 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, reeling in six of his 12 targets for 57 yards. While the final line is nothing to write home about, managers should be glad Rice came away with solid production on a dreadful afternoon where the Chiefs offense just couldn't kick into gear. Rice's yardage potential remains capped by K.C.'s reluctance to trust and utilize the electric 23-year-old on passing plays outside the numbers deep down the field, as evidenced by 7.8 yards per target across his past five outings. Even so, the standout rookie is supplying a PPR-friendly 7.6 catches on 10.0 targets for 78.2 yards per game with three total touchdowns since Week 12.
- Matthew Stafford - Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford came ready to play during Thursday's matchup against the New Orleans Saints. The veteran signal-caller looked lackluster in the first half of the season, but has turned it around over the last few weeks. On Thursday, Stafford completed 24-of-34 passing attempts for 328 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions in the win.
