11 months agoThe Boston Red Sox have "remained engaged" with free-agent starting pitcher Lucas Giolito along with many other clubs, per MassLive.com's Chris Cotillo. Despite his proven upside, the 29-year-old posted his second consecutive poor season with the White Sox, Angels, and Guardians, going 8-15 with a 4.88 ERA, 1.31 WHIP, and 25.7% strikeout rate in 33 starts. Starting pitching was an issue for the Red Sox last season, so they, along with other teams will be hoping that Giolito can return to his 2019-21 form. While he has turned in higher-end seasons in his career, fantasy managers may want to take a wait-and-see approach to Giolito this season to see if he can return to form before placing trust in him.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
