Fantasy Football Injury Reports For NFL RBs: Week 17 Updates for Raheem Mostert, Isiah Pacheco, Jerome Ford, Chris Rodriguez Jr.

Raheem Mostert - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Fantasy football RB injury updates and reports for Week 17 (2023), as of 12/27, including Raheem Mostert, Isiah Pacheco, Jerome Ford, and Chris Rodriguez Jr.

Below you will find our fantasy football injuries report for running backs in Week 17, as of December 27. The injury statuses for various NFL running backs are up in the air for Week 17, including Raheem Mostert, Isiah Pacheco, Jerome Ford, and Chris Rodriguez Jr.

As the fantasy football playoffs continue, every decision, transaction, and lineup change matters. These are critical running back injuries to keep track of throughout the week. Being up-to-date on NFL injury news can give you an edge over your league mates in fantasy football.

Let's look at the updates for some running backs and see whether they may play in Week 17.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Raheem Mostert Injury Update

Mostert (shin) played a season-low 19 snaps on Sunday. Head coach Mike McDaniel said that the veteran running back wanted to have a larger role on offense, but it was clear that he was playing through significant pain. The 31-year-old has scored double-digit fantasy points in 86.7 percent of his games this season and, if healthy, should be deployed as an RB1 in Week 17.

Isiah Pacheco Injury Update

Pacheco (concussion) was ruled out on Monday after a concerning play in which his helmet came off and he hit his head on a teammate's knee. The 24-year-old has looked fantastic when healthy but is at risk of missing Week 17. If inactive, Pacheco would temporarily hand over the starting duties to Clyde Edwards-Helaire.

Jerome Ford Injury Update

Ford (wrist) has logged back-to-back full practices. Barring a major setback, he'll suit up on Thursday night versus the New York Jets.

Chris Rodriguez Jr. Injury Update

Rodriguez (ankle) underwent an MRI on Tuesday. The Commanders didn't immediately provide an update on his status but could do so on Wednesday. If not, we will still gain further insight when the team distributes its injury report. Rodriguez is coming off a two-touchdown game but could fall off the fantasy radar against the 49ers in Week 17, especially if Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) returns.

Kareem Hunt Injury Update

Hunt (groin) missed practice on Monday before participating in a limited status on Tuesday. He's certainly trending in the right direction for Week 17, though it remains possible that we don't get official confirmation on his status until the hours leading up to kickoff on Thursday night.

Elijah Mitchell Injury Update

Mitchell (knee) is expected to be "full go" this week. After missing three consecutive games, it sounds like he'll return to practice before ultimately suiting up against the Commanders on Sunday. Such a favorable matchup could earn extra snaps for Mitchell, but his backup role behind Christian McCaffrey keeps him off the redraft radar for the time being.

Miles Sanders Injury Update

Sanders (toe) missed the end of Sunday's game against the Packers, leaving his status for Week 17 up in the air. The 26-year-old has been the clear backup to Chuba Hubbard and lacks fantasy appeal. He can be avoided in most redraft leagues as the fantasy football playoffs roll on.

Rico Dowdle Injury Update

Dowdle (ankle) was a limited participant during Tuesday's practice. He scored three touchdowns from Weeks 10 through 14 but otherwise has been a non-factor in fantasy football. As long as Tony Pollard is healthy, Dowdle can be left on fantasy waivers.

Israel Abanikanda Injury Update

Abanikanda (ankle) has logged back-to-back limited practices but is trending in the right direction ahead of Thursday Night Football. He operated as the Jets' No. 2 running back last Sunday and could have a similar role in Week 17. Despite the increased opportunities, Breece Hall remains the only Jets running back worth starting in fantasy football leagues.
