BALLER MOVE: Start in 10+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR2
ANALYSIS: Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has had a disappointing 2023 season. The wide receiver has missed four games because of multiple injuries. He has also struggled with drops this year. Higgins is the WR52 for the season, averaging 9.2 half-point PPR fantasy points per game, a career-low.
Last week, the former Clemson star had arguably his best performance of the year. He had four receptions on eight targets for 61 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 20.1 fantasy points against a Minnesota Vikings defense that had been playing outstanding lately.
Ja'Marr Chase suffered an AC joint sprain in last week’s win. While the injury isn’t considered a season-ending one, the superstar will not play Saturday in a critical AFC North divisional matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Many have high hopes for Higgins this week, with Chase unavailable to play. The Steelers’ pass defense started the year playing horribly but has been better lately. Yet, they have still surrendered slightly above the league average in fantasy points per game to wide receivers this season.
Fantasy players should consider Higgins a solid WR2 option this week. The only way he will be a bust this week is if Cincinnati can run all over Pittsburgh’s struggling run defense.
