When Will Tyreek Hill Return and Be Back? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Tyreek Hill - Fantasy Football Rankings, NFL Injury News, DFS Picks

When will Tyreek Hill return and play? Will Tyreek Hill be back again this season? Read the latest Tyreek Hill injury updates and return date for Week 16 (2023).

Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is near a goal that no one in NFL history has yet to accomplish and that would be reaching over 2,000 receiving yards. The wideout has totaled 97 catches for 1,542 and 12 touchdowns this season and still has three more weeks to go.

Unfortunately, the 29-year-old got banged up in Week 14 of this season, causing him to be in and out of the game for the remainder of the contest against the Titans. Hill followed that up by missing the Week 15 matchup against the Jets as well since his ankle injury was too painful. Fantasy managers wonder when the star wideout is expected to return.

When is Hill coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Tyreek Hill Latest Injury Update - December 19

The latest injury news for Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill is that he was inactive for the team's Week 15 matchup against the Jets due to an ankle injury. The plan was for Hill to partake in drills and he did work out pregame to test out his injured ankle but ultimately couldn't go, which left him missing in Week 15.
Hill was unable to practice at all during the week before their game against the Jets, so it would be encouraging if Hill was able to see some sort of limited practice this week before they face off against the Dallas Cowboys.

Tyreek Hill Injury Update for Fantasy Football

Hill (ankle) originally suffered an ankle injury in the Week 14 loss to the Tennessee Titans. He exited the game and tried to return with an ankle injury but was unable to finish the game. The injury was originally viewed as a day-to-day recovery, so he should be expected to attempt to return to the field after another couple of days rest before he attempts to play in Week 16.

With the state that the Miami Dolphins are in and the possibility of Hill surpassing an NFL record, I find it unlikely that Hill would miss two weeks in a row, but due to him missing Week 15, this is a situation worth monitoring with playoffs on the line.

Tyreek Hill Fantasy Football Outlook

Even if he is not fully healthy but is able to play Sunday, he should remain a WR1 and should be started in all lineups if he is active. Hill has put up season-saving numbers every week and should be considered a top-three option for the remainder of the season, if not the top overall wideout. Again, this will be an important situation to monitor, but if he is a go, he should remain locked in your lineup.

When he returns, Hill can be viewed as a WR1 with a possible number-one overall finish for fantasy managers.
