Jahan Dotson Posts Just One Catch Against Rams
1 year agoWashington Commanders wide receiver Jahan Dotson earned just one target, catching it for 12 yards in the team's loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Washington was largely unable to stop Los Angeles in the first half and didn't string together any successful drives themselves. That led to a 20-0 hole, which, in theory, should have benefited Dotson. He didn't see his first target until midway through the fourth quarter when the Commanders switched from Sam Howell to backup Jacoby Brissett. The latter propelled Terry McLaurin and Curtis Samuel to big games in limited time, but Dotson remained an afterthought. He now ranks third on the team in targets this season and does not need to be rostered in redraft formats.

Jahan Dotson Primed For Increased Role In Week 18
3 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson will take on an expanded role in Week 18 against the New York Giants, as the team is expected to rest its usual starters, including A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith. Dotson has struggled to make an impact recently, failing to catch a pass in each of the last two games. However, with the absence of Brown and Smith, Dotson should see a significant increase in targets. This season, Dotson has recorded 12 receptions on 22 targets for 122 yards, along with one rushing attempt for 13 yards. While the Giants boast a middle-of-the-pack pass defense, Dotson's increased volume makes him a potential boom-or-bust option in deeper fantasy formats this week.

Jahan Dotson Catches Lone Pass Early In Game Sunday
4 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson caught one of two targets for just five receiving yards during Sunday's Week 14 win over the Carolina Panthers. Dotson's lone reception came two minutes into the first quarter, and he would not catch another pass for the remainder of the contest. With DeVonta Smith (hamstring) back in the mix, the 24-year-old saw his role get scaled back. He played just 41 percent of the offensive snaps, which represents his lowest mark since Week 6. All in all, Dotson remains a low-volume receiver who has just a dozen catches this season. Fantasy managers can leave him on waivers in all redraft leagues.

Jahan Dotson A Candidate For Additional Opportunities Sunday
4 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson could earn some fantasy relevance if DeVonta Smith (hamstring), who is listed as questionable, fails to play against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 13. Dotson has a modest 10 catches for 110 yards through 11 games this season, but he played a respectable 68 percent of the snaps with Smith sidelined last week. He could be in line for a similar role if Smith spends Week 13 on the sideline. Also working in Dotson's favor is a matchup against the Ravens, who have allowed the second-most catches, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns to opposing wide receivers, as well as the single-most fantasy points. Fantasy managers should view Dotson as a potential WR4/flex play if Smith is inactive on Sunday.

Jahan Dotson Could Have Role Increase In Week 12
5 months agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver Jahan Dotson will go on the road to face off against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 12. The 24-year-old has been a non-factor for fantasy purposes in 2024 but has the chance to step in as the No. 2 option beside superstar A.J. Brown, as DeVonta Smith (hamstring) has been ruled out. Dotson has just four targets over the past three weeks and is sharing playing time with rookie Johnny Wilson, but with six teams on bye and the matchup against the Rams being great, he will be on the flex radar in Week 12. Wilson should also see his role increase, making both players incredibly risky starts, but Dotson should have a slight edge over the rookie in terms of playing time.
