BALLER MOVE: Start in 14-Team Formats
POSITIONAL VALUE: RB5 with Upside
ANALYSIS: Washington Commanders running back Chris Rodriguez Jr. should see a larger role this week with Brian Robinson Jr. sidelined, but that doesn't mean that the rookie needs a spot in your fantasy lineups.
While he should get some touches in relief of Antonio Gibson, Rodriguez simply doesn't have much of a track record to go off of heading into the team's Week 15 meeting with the Los Angeles Rams. His career high in rushing attempts is seven, while his career high in rushing yards is 43. He's also got just one reception in his NFL career, so don't expect to see much of Rodriguez on passing downs.
Add in that the Commanders throw the football more than any other NFL team and you can see why Rodriguez is just an RB5 option this week. However, the fact that Gibson hasn't been overly productive means that Rodriguez could wind up siphoning off some work. If you're desperate at running back in a 14-team league, the rookie is a boom-or-bust option for your lineup.
