Easton Stick Struggles To A Three-Score Performance In Week 15
Easton Stick played in an NFL game that ended with a 63-21 score on Thursday. Stick attempted 32 passes, completing 23 of them for 257 yards, three touchdowns, one interception, and two lost fumbles. He also took three sacks, losing 23 yards. It was the epitome of a quarterback performance that was decent in fantasy but awful on the field. The Chargers offense looked completely helpless all night, and none of their players besides maybe Keenan Allen (if he gets healthy) will be fantasy relevant for the remainder of the season.

Chargers Could Look To Replace Easton Stick
Easton Stick has very little job security as the preseason wraps up, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic. While Popper projects that Stick will make the team's initial 53-man roster, he notes that the Chargers could look to upgrade the backup quarterback role by signing someone who is cut by another team when rosters trim down on Tuesday. Los Angeles previously signed Luis Perez to compete with Stick, and while Perez likely didn't do enough to win a roster spot, all signs point to the Chargers seeking an upgrade over Stick. Of course, this news has minimal fantasy football implications as Justin Herbert is the Chargers' starting quarterback and has an incredibly firm hold on his job. He ranks as a fringe top-12 fantasy quarterback heading into the 2024 campaign.

Easton Stick Plays All Of The Chargers Final Preseason Game
Easton Stick played all of Saturday's preseason finale against the Dallas Cowboys, leading the Bolts to a 26-19 win. Stick attempted 29 passes, completing 12 for 187 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. He added 17 yards on the ground on four carries and took two sacks. Most of Stick's production came on a 78-yard touchdown pass to Simi Fehoko in the second quarter. Stick is the likely QB2 for the Chargers, a position that could be critical this season with starter Justin Herbert dealing with a foot injury that could linger into the season.

Easton Stick Struggles Again In Preseason Game 2
Easton Stick struggled again in the second preseason game. Stick attempted 13 passes, completing eight of them for 85 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. He added 22 yards on the ground with five rushing attempts, but also lost a fumble. Stick hasn't looked great this preseason, and wasn't all that impressive when forced into playing time last season either. He's presumably competing with Luis Perez for the backup quarterback job in LA, but the Chargers will be in trouble if either of them ends up with significant playing time in the regular season.

Easton Stick To Make Another Preseason Start
Justin Herbert (foot) still out, Easton Stick will make another start in the preseason game on Saturday versus the Los Angeles Rams. Stick underwhelmed in the preseason opener last Saturday against the Seattle Seahawks, going 5-for-13 for 31 yards and an interception. He evidently showed enough in training camp practices this week to hold off Max Duggan and Luis Perez, though, in what is turning into an unexpectedly tight QB competition for the backup role to Herbert in 2024. Stick looked better in practice this week but still had his ups and downs. If the 28-year-old struggles again this weekend, don't be surprised if Perez or Duggan see more starting reps in practice next week with Herbert still out. The bottom line here is that if Herbert ends up missing time in the regular season, the Bolts' offense could be in serious trouble.
