BALLER MOVE: Sit in All Leagues

ANALYSIS: Los Angeles Chargers running back Joshua Kelley became a trending name in fantasy football last week after head coach Brandon Staley hinted at a backfield rotation moving forward. However, Kelley saw just three touches against the Broncos in Week 14, resulting in six yards. Second-year runner Isaiah Spiller earned six rushing attempts, totaling just 19 yards.
Austin Ekeler had one of his best performances of the season, rushing 10 times for 51 yards and a touchdown and catching five of his seven targets for 49 yards. Ultimately, it's tough to trust everything NFL coaches say, and Staley seems to have been exaggerating Ekeler's struggles and Kelley's potential role increase.
With Justin Herbert (finger) out against the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday night, expect the Chargers to lean on Ekeler. Kelley and Spiller could be mixed in, but neither is worth rolling the dice on in the fantasy football playoffs. Sit Kelley in leagues of all shapes and sizes.
Both running backs should be stashed in deep leagues ahead of the fantasy football playoffs, though. If Ekeler gets banged up over the next two weeks, one of the young backs could have RB2 appeal when it matters most.
