Is Aaron Jones Injured or Healthy? Fantasy Football Injury Update

Aaron Jones - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, NFL Injury News

Is Aaron Jones injured or healthy? Is Aaron Jones playing in Week 15? Read the latest Aaron Jones fantasy football injury updates and outlook.

If you drafted Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones, chances are you have been extremely frustrated with the veteran's production this season. Jones has played in just seven games after dealing with a hamstring issue earlier in the year and now an MCL sprain.

Jones first injured his knee in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Since then, though, the 29-year-old running back has missed the past three games with that injury.

Is Jones injured or healthy? Will he play in Week 15? Let's dive in.

Be sure to check all of our fantasy football rankings for 2025:

Aaron Jones Injury Update for Fantasy Football

It's been a tough injury year for Jones, who has played at least 14 games in four straight seasons from 2019 to 2022. The veteran will fail to reach that mark in 2023. He missed three games earlier in the year with a severe hamstring injury and is now dealing with a knee issue.

The knee injury that Jones suffered in Week 11 was so gruesome that many thought he could be out for the year. Nonetheless, the veteran should play again this season for the Packers.

There's been little information about when we can see Jones again. It was a positive sign to see the 29-year-old practice in a limited fashion all last week. That means a return could be on the horizon as soon as this week.

Aaron Jones Fantasy Football Outlook

It's been a frustrating fantasy season if you roster Jones. He's only averaging 10.9 PPR fantasy points per game this season, and part of that is due to the Packers limiting him in games that he does play. The veteran has just two double-digit PPR fantasy performances this year.

So, even if Jones is active in Week 15 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he shouldn't be a must-start. For starters, the Buccaneers are great at stopping the run. They are also allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season (16.8 half-PPR points).

In a must-win fantasy playoff game, Jones is really hard to trust. The Buccaneers have done a great job at preventing big games from fantasy running backs this season, and even if he plays, he would likely be limited and see a smaller workload in the contest.
