DraftKings & FanDuel NFL DFS Week 15 Picks: Saturday, December 16, 2023

T.J. Hockenson - Fantasy Football Rankings, Draft Sleepers, Waiver Wire Pickups

Kyle Ringstad's top DraftKings and FanDuel NFL DFS Week 14 Picks for Saturday, December 16, 2023. His top DraftKings and FanDuel daily fantasy football sleepers and NFL DFS lineups advice.

Welcome to Week 15 of the NFL season, RotoBallers. This weekend brings us an interesting three-game slate for daily fantasy football, and I'm here to guide you through the optimal plays for a winning tournament lineup. The Broncos-Lions night game holds the highest implied total on the slate at 47.5 points, but as you'll read below, we have intriguing value plays (and one underlooked receiver) to consider from the Vikings-Bengals and Steelers-Colts matchups.

In this article, I will be providing you with my Week 15 (Saturday) daily fantasy football lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel. These lineups can vary from higher-priced players and elite options to lower-priced players and value picks. DraftKings, FanDuel Quarterbacks - Week 15 (Saturday) DFS Lineup Picks

Jared Goff vs. DEN ($6,500 DraftKings, $7,900 FanDuel)

Jared Goff has had a few subpar weeks on the road lately, averaging 187 passing yards and 12.4 DK points per game in outings against the Bears and Saints. He has struggled to deal with pressure, posting a passer rating of 55.9 under pressure over his last four games. I think a home matchup against the overhyped Broncos is exactly what the doctor ordered for Goff to get back on track. While the Broncos allow the most fantasy points per game to opposing RBs this season, they'd be wise to force Goff and the passing attack beat them through the air with the way they've been performing lately.

Denver doesn't have a great pass rush, ranking 24th in pressure rate despite ranking seventh in blitz rate. While the popular build will be to feature one (or both) of the Lions' running backs with how forgiving the Broncos' rush defense is, getting to Goff at QB and betting on a bounceback performance makes a lot of sense on this slate.

Nick Mullens @ CIN ($5,000 DraftKings, $6,500 FanDuel)

This is purely a pricing and leverage play. Nick Mullens will be the fourth quarterback to receive a start for the Vikings this season, but he's arguably the most experienced after Kirk Cousins as he has 17 starts over his six-year career. He holds a 27-23 TD/INT ratio and has completed 65% of his passes. He has never started a game with a weapon like Justin Jefferson, though, and having Jordan Addison and T.J. Hockenson flanking him doesn't hurt, either.

The Bengals allow the ninth-most fantasy points and the sixth-most passing yards per game to opposing QBs. Interestingly, they give up the third-most passing yards in the league when playing at home, as they will be on Saturday. Mullens is the cheapest QB on the slate and I don't believe people will be rushing to click his name, so he's a great pivot option to get leverage on the field in this spot.

Also Consider: Jake Browning

DraftKings, FanDuel Running Backs - Week 15 (Saturday) DFS Lineup Picks

Zack Moss vs. PIT ($7,900 DraftKings, $6,600 FanDuel)

Feel me once, shame on...shame on you. Fool me-you can't get fooled again. Zack Moss has crushed the hopes and dreams of fantasy managers brave enough to start him in season-long leagues and DFS managers hoping to get a nice salary discount on a high-usage player at a premium position. We got the high usage out of Moss in two straight weeks, but we were rewarded with a paltry 9.6 and 7.7 DK points. He received 38 touches in those games - including ten carries inside the 10-yard line - but he never broke through for a score or a big chunk play. Nothing about his situation has changed heading into a Saturday showdown with the Steelers, so we're going right back to the well.

The Steelers allow the 13th-most fantasy points per game to opposing RBs this season, and I don't see this turning into a negative gamescript for Moss and the Colts. Indy is favored by 1.5 points at home, and I don't see a scenario where Mitch Trubisky propels the Steelers to a lead and forces the Colts to abandon the running game. Moss will get his touches once again here, and he's going to finally pay dividends for us.

Jaylen Warren vs. IND ($5,200 DraftKings, $5,600 FanDuel)

Najee Harris frustratingly continues to see between 12 and 16 carries per game, but Jaylen Warren is still getting his touches and holding a near-50% snap share with his fellow backfield mate. The Colts have a terrible rush defense, so it makes a lot of sense to get to both of these backs at their reasonable price points on Saturday. However, it's crucial to work out what you believe will play out in the game and build lineups accordingly, and I believe the Trubisky-led Steelers are going to fall behind and be forced to passing situations. This favors Warren, who's the clear passing-down back. Warren can make a lot of noise with his skillset against this Colts defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing RBs this season.

Also Consider: Ty Chandler, Javonte Williams, Joe Mixon, Najee Harris, David Montgomery

DraftKings, FanDuel Wide Receivers - Week 15 (Saturday) DFS Lineup Picks

Michael Pittman Jr. vs PIT ($7,300 DraftKings, $7,900 FanDuel)

You can get to Michael Pittman Jr. at a tasty discount from Jefferson/ASB/Chase on DraftKings, and that's something we should be immensely interested in with the production he has put up over the last eight weeks. He has outproduced St. Brown and Chase in that span, finishing with at least 14.4 DK points in each game while averaging an eye-popping 20.2 DK points per game. His role is only increasing as we approach the end of the season as he's averaging 13 targets per game and a robust 34% target share over his last four games.

The Steelers rank about middle-of-the-pack in terms of fantasy points per game allowed to wide receivers, but the Colts have the second-highest implied total on the slate at 22 points, and I want a piece of that action. With the way Gardner Minshew has been peppering him with targets, he's going to have to have a really bad day at the office to not pay off his salary on Saturday.

Jerry Jeudy @ DET ($4,700 DraftKings, $5,600 FanDuel)

It has been an extremely frustrating season for Jerry Jeudy, and he isn't in good form recently as he has posted 3.6 DK points or less in two of his last three games. He's very cheap, though, and doesn't need to do much to exceed salary-based expectations in Week 15. He's the clear #2 option on the team behind Courtland Sutton, and he's long overdue for touchdown regression as he has only one this season to Sutton's ten scores. The Lions allow the ninth-most fantasy points per game to opposing receivers this season, and I believe the Broncos falling behind and having to catch up via the pass is the most likely scenario in this game.

Also Consider: Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, George Pickens

DraftKings, FanDuel Tight Ends - Week 15 (Saturday) DFS Lineup Picks

T.J. Hockenson @ CIN ($5,800 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel)

T.J. Hockenson looks great at this price. Hockenson and Sam LaPorta are the only high-end TEs on the slate, so you're either paying up for them or punting (and praying) at the position. The thing is, we shouldn't even consider his $5,800 salary as a "payup" with the rest of the receiving options on the slate. He'd rank as the seventh-highest-priced WR on the slate, behind Tee Higgins. Hockenson averages 15.5 DK points per game compared to Higgins' 10.1 DK points per game, and his target share is a full two times higher for the season. There's an elevated potential for a ceiling game from the veteran tight end in this one as the Bengals have allowed the most receptions, yards, and fantasy points per game to the position this season.

Also Consider: Sam LaPorta
