Jordan Mason Scores Opening Touchdown Against Seattle
12 months agoSan Francisco 49ers running back Jordan Mason found paydirt on the second play of the game in the team's 28-16 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday. The second-year pro punched it in from three yards out after starter Christian McCaffrey was brought down near the goal line on a 72-yard scamper. Mason finished the day with 20 yards rushing on four carries and one reception on one target for six yards. McCaffrey was likely to be sidelined for only one or two plays to catch his breath after the long run, so fantasy players shouldn't go rushing to the waiver wire based on the touchdown. However, Mason may be worth a speculative add in case of a McCaffrey injury for those with roster flexibility because of the uncertainty surrounding Elijah Mitchell (knee).
