Wyatt Langford Will Have Chance To Make Opening Day Roster
1 year agoTexas Rangers outfielder Wyatt Langford, who was the fourth overall pick in the 2023 MLB draft, will have a shot to make the Opening Day roster, according to manager Bruce Bochy. The 22-year-old put up an absurd .360/.480/.677 batting line to go along with 10 home runs, 30 RBI, and 12 stolen bases in 44 games across four levels of the Rangers' minor-league system. If he continues to rake in spring training, there is a real possibility he finds himself on the Opening Day roster for the defending World Series champions. He is a surefire first-round pick in dynasty leagues and will garner interest in re-draft leagues due to his prospect pedigree and team context. He has a bright future.
