Chicago Bears running back D'Onta Foreman has been dealing with an ankle issue for the past couple of weeks. He first suffered the injury in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions and left the contest early. In that game, he had six carries for 14 yards and one touchdown.
But that ankle issue caused him to miss Week 12 against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football. With the Bears having their bye last week, Foreman had an extra week to get healthy before the team takes on the Lions this weekend.
Is Foreman injured or healthy? Will he play in Week 14? Let's dive in.

Is D'Onta Foreman Playing in Week 14?
Foreman is on track to return in Week 14 against the Lions following a one-game absence. The 27-year-old running back practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday to open the week and should be available for Chicago this Sunday.
The Bears will hold one more practice on Friday before Sunday's game. If the veteran continues on this track, he should return in the backfield mix for Chicago. With Foreman, Roschon Johnson, and Khalil Herbert all likely active this weekend, the team should have a healthy unit.
D'Onta Foreman Week 14 Fantasy Football Outlook
Foreman will likely return to action in Week 14. But he doesn't carry much fantasy value, even in deeper formats. He will be in a timeshare with Johnson and Herbert, making him a low-floor, low-ceiling play.
On top of the crowded backfield group, Foreman goes up against a tough run defense on Sunday. The way to beat Detroit is through the air, and Chicago will try to exploit that in this matchup. The Lions are also giving up the fifth-fewest fantasy points per game to running backs this season at just 15.6 half-PPR points.
There haven't been many games that all three Bears running backs have been active this year. There has only been two cases of that in 2023. Week 11 was a small sample size due to Foreman's injury. But in Week 1, the veteran played just 28% of the team's offensive snaps, which was fewer than both Johnson (39%) and Herbert (36%).
Foreman should not be started in fantasy in most cases this week. He is in a three-back committee and won't see many opportunities in a tough matchup.
