Dalton Schultz Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Dalton Schultz injured his hamstring in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He was limited in that game, playing slightly less than half the team's offensive snaps and catching just one pass for two yards.
Eight now, Schultz's Week 14 status is a question mark. He was not practicing during the portion of practice open to the media on Thursday, putting doubt on his ability to suit up on Sunday against the New York Jets.
Dalton Schultz has caught 40 passes this season for 455 yards and five touchdowns. He's been an important part of a Texans passing attack that has been one of the most dangerous in the NFL over the second half of the season.
Dalton Schultz Fantasy Football Outlook
If Dalton Schultz is good to go on Sunday, he should be viewed as a solid low-end TE1 in fantasy. He's had some explosive games this year, like when he had 10 catches for 130 yards and a score in a win over the Buccaneers. However, Schultz has also had some duds as well, with four games of fewer than 10 receiving yards.
With Schultz out last week, Brevin Jordan was targeted five times, catching three passes for 64 yards. If Schultz is out again, Jordan's an intriguing option in DFS contests, though the matchup with the Jets is a little too tough for fantasy managers to trust him in season-long leagues.
