BALLER MOVE: Sit in 16+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: TE2
ANALYSIS: New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry had low expectations entering the year. Many believed the Patriots would have one of the lower-scoring offenses in the NFL. Unfortunately, the veteran tight end is the TE21 for the season, averaging 5.4 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 32 receptions on 49 targets for 313 receiving yards and three touchdowns this year.
However, Henry started the season on fire. He had 11 receptions on 13 targets for 108 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 28.3 fantasy points over the first two weeks, totaling 14 or more in both contests. Unfortunately, his production has fallen off a cliff since the hot start. Since Week 3, the veteran is the TE28, averaging 3.7 fantasy points per game. He scored more than 4.3 fantasy points only twice during those 10 contests.
Meanwhile, Henry faces the Pittsburgh Steelers tomorrow night. They have held tight ends to 8.9 fantasy points per game, the 12th-fewest in the NFL. However, the Steelers have had no answer for tight ends lately. Over the past four weeks, they have given up 71 receiving yards and 13.7 fantasy points per game to tights.
Yet, Henry isn’t worth starting in any season-long leagues despite the appealing matchup.
