DraftKings, FanDuel Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks (12/6/23): Today's Top NBA DFS Lineups

Victor Wembanyama - NBA Injury News, Daily Fantasy Basketball, DFS Lineup Picks

The top daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on December 6th, 2023. Juan Carlos Blanco provides NBA DFS analysis and sleeper picks for building optimal DFS rosters.

After back-to-back night of In-Season Tournament quarterfinal-round games, we're set for a conventional and massive 11-game slate Wednesday night. As is always the case on a ledger of this size, there are plenty of options to choose from all across the salary scale, and I'll attempt to narrow down some of the most viable for both cash games and tournaments.

This article will provide you with my daily fantasy basketball lineup picks for DraftKings and FanDuel on 12/6/23. Remember to monitor NBA injury news and our awesome new NBA injuries report tool as the slate can completely change before lineups lock at 7 p.m. ET.

DraftKings and FanDuel Guards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Luka Doncic, PG, DAL vs. UTA – PG ($11,700 DK; $12,400 FD)

Doncic naturally is a viable option on any night and at virtually any salary, but especially in a matchup as appealing as the one he draws Wednesday. The Jazz are allowing 120.2 points per road game and also plays at a top-10 pace, which immediately foreshadows what could be one of Doncic's higher-percentile performances.

Then, the Jazz are ranked No. 2o in offensive efficiency rating allowed to point guards (27.9) and have given up a Western Conference-high 10.7 assists per contest and the third-most steals (2.2) per game to the position as well.

Fred VanVleet, HOU vs. OKC – PG ($8,200 DK; $7,700 FD)

VanVleet's salaries are eye-catching on either site considering he's averaging 39.1 DK/36.9 FD points per contest. The veteran guard and first-year Rocket has been an integral part of the team's solid improvement early in Ime Udoka's tenure, and he now gets his first crack of the campaign at a Thunder team that's had a difficult team preventing three-point shooting from point guards.

OKC is giving up the fourth-most made threes (3.4) to point guards, while VanVleet is shooting 44.4 percent from distance in his last four games and taking a robust 8.1 three-point attempts per contest for the season.

Coby White, CHI vs. CHA – PG ($6,900 DK; $7,400 FD)

White has been on quite the run recently, and with Zach LaVine (foot) still out for several more games at minimum, the 2019 seventh overall pick should continue to see elevated usage and additional responsibility on the offensive end. White has been especially efficient coming into Wednesday's favorable matchup, as he's shooting a crisp 50.0% over his last seven games, including an even more impressive 51.5% from three-point range.

The Hornets are still down LaMelo Ball (ankle), and they're allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to point guards (30.1), along with 46.7 FD points per game to the position.

ALSO CONSIDER: Terry Rozier, CHA at CHI - PG/SG ($8,100 DK; $8,400 FD); Cam Thomas, BKN at ATL - PG/SG/SF ($7,100 DK; $6,700 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Forwards - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Victor Wembanyama, SAN at MIN – PF/C ($9,000 DK; $9,000 FD)

The Spurs have lost 14 straight, but somehow, matters don't seem as miserable in San Antonio as that streak would imply thanks to Wembanyama's stellar rookie play. The much-ballyhooed top overall pick is more than validating his pedigree by averaging 42.9 DK/43.4 FD points per contest and increasingly serving as a significant defensive presence. Wemby has averaged 3.8 blocks and 1.8 steals per game in his last six contests, numbers he's complemented with 19.2 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per contest.

The Timberwolves are ranked in the bottom half of the league in both steals and blocks allowed to power forwards, and Minnesota is also yielding the fourth-most rebounds per home game (54.4). Additionally, Wembanyama already proved capable of exploiting the matchup, having posted 56.3 DK/57.8 FD points against Minnesota in the first meeting this season.

Cameron Johnson, BKN at ATL – SF/PF ($6,500 DK; $6,000 FD)

Johnson makes for an intriguing mid-salary play on both sites against a Hawks team that's been playing some incredibly fast-paced and high-scoring games all season. The talented wing already lit up Atlanta in his one previous encounter with the Hawks this season, producing 42.3 DK/40.5 FD points across 38 minutes on November 22.

Atlanta checks in surrendering the eighth-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (24.7) and an elevated 48.0 percent shooting to the position. The Hawks are also 43.9 DK/42.8 FD points per game to threes, and Johnson has already flashed some nice upside for his salaries by recording 33.3 DK/31.3 FD points or more in four of 12 games.

Dario Saric, GSW vs. POR – PF/C ($5,500 DK; $5,800 FD)

Saric moved into the starting five in the Warriors' most recent game and actually turned in an underwhelming performance, but irrespective of where he slots in Wednesday, he should have a good chance to bounce back against the Trail Blazers. Saric was also running hot before Sunday's dud, averaging 14.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 48.9%, including 42.2% from behind the arc, over the previous nine contests.

Portland has allowed 49.8 percent shooting to frontcourt players thus far this season, and 58.7 DK/58.6 FD points per contest to centers on the season as well. What's more, Portland has allowed the fourth-most made threes per game (1.3) fives, particularly relevant when considering Saric's 37.6 percent success rate from distance and 4.3 three-point attempts per contest.

ALSO CONSIDER: Patrick Williams, CHI vs. CHA - SF/PF ($5,200 DK; $5,600 FD)

DraftKings and FanDuel Centers - NBA DFS Lineup Picks

Joel Embiid, PHI at WAS – C ($11,600 DK; $12,300 FD)

Much like Doncic, Embiid's rostering is always self-explanatory, but on Wednesday there are actually a couple of additional factors worth mentioning that make him an even better play than usual. Embiid will have the benefit of rest on his side, as he last took the floor November 27 due to a two-game absence as a result of an illness.

The Wizards make for the most appealing of matchups, considering they've allowed an NBA-high 38.1 offensive efficiency rating to centers, along with NBA-high 60.7 % shooting to the position as well. Additionally, Washington has given up 59.6 DK/59.2 FD points per game to the position, along with the second-most points in the paint (58.8) and a league-high 58.8 rebounds per game.

Nikola Vucevic, CHI vs. CHA – C ($8,400 DK; $8,000 FD)

Vucevic is frequently a rock-solid second-tier option at center, but he's in a particularly advantageous position Wednesday with Zach LaVine sidelined and the matchup against the Hornets. As has often been the case in recent seasons, Charlotte continues to be a very good DFS target in terms of centers, allowing over 55 fantasy points per game to centers on either site while also conceding the third-most rebounds per contest to the position (16.2).

Vucevic sports a 24.6% usage rate with LaVine off the floor while averaging 17.9 points and 9.6 rebounds per 36 minutes in that split, while the Hornets have given up 57 DK/56.9 FD points per game to centers. Charlotte is also averaging three more possessions per game than Chicago, so there could be some extra opportunities on tap for the versatile Vucevic to rack up production.

Walker Kessler, UTA at DAL – C ($6,300 DK; $6,500 FD)

Kessler has been quietly offering a solid floor since his return from an elbow injury, putting up 25 to 35.5 DK  points in four of the last five games and 25.6 to 41.6 FD points in the last five contests. The young big has done a nice job staying out of foul trouble in the last three games as well, drawing just a pair of ref's whistles in the last three games.

The Mavericks make for good targets in terms of facilitating another strong performance for the second-year big, considering Dallas has a No. 21 ranking in offensive efficiency rating allowed to centers (33.3) and 57.9 DK/57 FD points per game to centers. Those figures are largely the byproduct of the Mavs surrendering the third-most points (24.8) and fourth-most rebounds (16.1) per contest to fives, brightening Kessler's prospects.

ALSO CONSIDER: Alperen Sengun, HOU vs. OKC - C ($8,900 DK; $8,900 FD)
