New York Giants quarterback Tyrod Taylor filled in quite well in the two games he started this year, including a 20-point fantasy output in Week 7 against the Commanders. Despite limited playing time, the 34-year-old has thrown for two touchdowns with zero turnovers in his 2023 playing time.
However, Taylor left the team's Week 8 game and never returned. He was subsequently placed on IR with a rib injury and has missed the last four games.
When is Taylor coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Tyrod Taylor Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Taylor suffered a rib cage injury and was placed on IR following Week 8. Before their Week 14 game with the Packers, the Giants opened his 21-day practice window to return from injury.
With Daniel Jones (knee) out for the year, Taylor was the first to step in, and he did a very solid job. He will return to practice and is eligible to rejoin the team whenever they feel he is ready.
Tyrod Taylor Fantasy Football Outlook
Although Taylor likely gives the Giants the best chance to win right now, the team sits at 2-10 and has little to gain by playing a 34-year-old journeyman. Rookie Tommy Devito has shown some flashes in his playing time, and it wouldn't be surprising if the team allowed him to remain the starter for the rest of the year.
If the Giants return to Taylor as the starter, he has some value in two-quarterback leagues thanks to his rushing upside. While the limitations of the Giants' offense would keep Taylor as a weekly streamer based on the matchup, he showed just how productive he can be when the matchup is right.
It will be interesting to see where the Giants go at quarterback for the rest of the season. If they decide to go back to the veteran, Taylor would be worth adding in two-quarterback leagues as a solid fill-in option.
