New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson has had plenty of fantasy value in 2023, despite the team having one of the worst offenses in the NFL. Through Stevenson's first 12 games, he rushed 156 times for 619 yards and four touchdowns and caught 38 passes for 238 yards.
Unfortunately, he exited the Week 13 game against the Chargers early, putting his status in doubt moving forward.
When is Stevenson coming back to action? What is his fantasy football outlook when he returns? Let's dive in.

Rhamondre Stevenson Latest Injury Update - December 5
Tests revealed that New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) suffered a right high-ankle sprain in the Week 13 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and is now expected to miss "a few weeks," according to a source. High-ankle sprains usually keep players out anywhere from three to five weeks, so fantasy managers realistically may not get Stevenson back before the end of their fantasy season.
With the 25-year-old sidelined, Ezekiel Elliott (thigh) should operate as the team's primary back, beginning this Thursday night against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Ty Montgomery and JaMycal Hasty will battle for change-of-pace duties behind him. Given New England's terrible offense and tough matchup against Pittsburgh, Elliott will merely be a touchdown-dependent RB3/flex with the added volume.
Rhamondre Stevenson Injury Update for Fantasy Football
According to ESPN's Jeff Howe, New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) is expected to "miss time." The 25-year-old injured his ankle in Sunday's loss to the Chargers, ending the day with 39 yards off nine carries. X-rays were negative, and there's a belief he suffered a sprain. But with the Patriots not looking like a playoff team, Stevenson could be done for the year, though he might return for the team's last few games.
If Stevenson doesn't play again this year, Ezekiel Elliott, who has 112 touches for 429 yards and two scores in 12 appearances this season, should be in line for more work. However, New England has struggled to get anything going offensively, so Elliott's value for fantasy managers could be minimal.
Rhamondre Stevenson Fantasy Football Outlook
Until there are further updates on Stevenson's return, he should continue to be rostered for fantasy football. The Patriots face the Broncos in Week 16, which is the second round of the fantasy football playoffs. The Broncos have struggled against running backs all season, so Stevenson could be a key piece of a fantasy championship run.
Until then, Elliott can be utilized as a low-end RB2 of flex play. He would also have value for that Week 16 matchup, but he's obviously not as effective as he was during his prime years in Dallas.
