D'Andre Swift Injury Update for Fantasy Football
There's a concerning lack of information surrounding the injury that Swift suffered on Sunday afternoon. It appeared to be some sort of upper-body injury. However, the Eagles did not provide a mid-game injury update, nor did head coach Nick Sirianni elaborate on Swift's status postgame.
Swift finished Week 13 with a measly six carries for 13 yards on the ground. He was also targeted six times in the passing game but ultimately caught just two passes for an additional seven yards through the air.
D'Andre Swift Fantasy Football Outlook
Given that Swift took a hit to the upper portion of his body, it seems likely that he was evaluated for a potential concussion. It's unclear whether he officially entered protocol, though the Eagles' medical staff will surely monitor his status over the next couple of days.
After their crushing loss to San Francisco, the Eagles will now prepare for another big Week 14 clash against the Cowboys. Having Swift available adds an extra element to the offense.
Fantasy managers will also benefit from Swift being healthy. While Dallas has a strong defense, they have been susceptible to strong running back play lately. Just last week, they surrendered 99 scrimmage yards to Seahawks rookie Zach Charbonnet.
Managers invested in Swift's status should stay tuned for updates from Sirianni on Monday, as well as check the Eagles' injury report updates on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. If Swift isn't able to play next week, Kenneth Gainwell figures to operate as the Eagles' No. 1 running back, though Jalen Hurts and Boston Scott would also earn carries.
