Week 13 PPR Rankings Analysis
A new feature has been added to our weekly fantasy football rankings article. Below, you will find our fantasy football outlooks for key options in Week 13, which gives readers a matchup preview of that player and advice on whether to start or avoid for the upcoming week. We provide outlooks for all 32 NFL teams, which can be found on our player profile pages and our fantasy football news desk.
De'Von Achane, RB, Miami Dolphins
Week 13 Overall PPR Rankings: 52
Week 13 Running Back PPR Rankings: 25
Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said that rookie running back De'Von Achane (knee) is playing in Week 13 against the Washington Commanders. Achane returned from Injured Reserve in Week 11, but it didn't take long for him to aggravate his knee injury. The explosive 22-year-old then was held out of last Friday's win over the New York Jets. Achane will only end up being held out for one game, although fantasy managers shouldn't get too excited about his return this weekend.
The Dolphins are likely to ease the rookie back into their backfield alongside lead back Raheem Mostert and Jeff Wilson Jr., who saw a season-high 14 touches in Week 12. Achane's upside is undeniable, but he's likely going to be a risky boom-or-bust fantasy option in his return this Sunday. UPDATE: Achane was removed from the Week 13 injury report.
Devin Singletary, RB, Houston Texans
Week 13 Overall PPR Rankings: 32
Week 13 Running Back PPR Rankings: 18
Houston Texans running back Devin Singletary will look to continue his nice fantasy stretch in Week 13 against the Denver Broncos. Singletary led the Texans' backfield last week and had 12 touches for 72 yards in the contest. With Dameon Pierce working his way back from a three-game absence, the 26-year-old veteran out-snapped Pierce 49 to 11 in Week 12.
Even if that number moves more to a 60/40 backfield split, Singletary is still a solid flex play against a Broncos defense that is allowing the most fantasy points per game to running backs this season.
Adam Thielen, WR, Carolina Panthers
Week 13 Overall PPR Rankings: 35
Week 13 Wide Receiver PPR Rankings: 16
Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen caught just one of his three targets for two yards in a Week 12 loss to the Tennessee Titans. Thielen looked like a league-winner earlier in the season, but he has cooled off considerably over his past four games as he's been held to 42 or fewer receiving yards three times over that span and hasn't found the end zone since Week 6.
That being said, his Week 13 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is a good one, as Tampa allows the fourth-most fantasy points per game to opposing wideouts. All things considered, Thielen sets up as a low-end WR2 against Tampa Bay in Week 13.
Josh Downs, WR, Indianapolis Colts
Week 13 Overall PPR Rankings: 45
Week 13 Wide Receiver PPR Rankings: 22
Indianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Josh Downs put together a five-catch, 43-yard performance in the team's Week 12 win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Despite the decent outing, Downs saw a team-high in targets with 13, tied with fellow wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. Downs serves primarily as a YAC and deep threat for Indy, leading the receiving corps in plays of 20+ yards with eight total.
He finds himself in a decent matchup against the Tennessee Titans, who allow the sixth most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. Downs' big play ability makes him a boom-or-bust type of play, but this matchup should instill confidence in fantasy managers to play him as a WR3/Flex option in Week 13.
Taysom Hill, TE, New Orleans Saints
Week 13 Overall PPR Rankings: 76
Week 13 Tight End Rankings: 8
New Orleans Saints tight end Taysom Hill has been up-and-down this season, with his usage varying weekly. Hill has seen work on the ground and through the air in 2023 and should continue to see significant enough volume for fantasy purposes in Week 13 against Detroit, with Rashid Shaheed (thigh) unlikely to play and Chris Olave (concussion) still in concussion protocol. Hill ranks as a low-end TE1 for Week 13 and can be started with six teams on bye.

Rankings are updated until kick-off. Be sure to bookmark our weekly PPR rankings, Half-PPR rankings, Standard rankings.
Note that quarterbacks, defenses, and kickers are all grouped separately toward the bottom. Each of those positions is ranked on its own. This helps to compare running backs, wide receivers, and tight ends for FLEX spots (without QB, DEF, and K mixed in).
