Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane (knee) has had a hard time staying healthy in his first NFL season. In the preseason, Achane dealt with a shoulder issue that caused him to miss multiple weeks.
Then, following a historic three-game stretch from Week 3 to Week 5, Achane went on the injured reserve list in Week 6 with a knee injury that caused him to miss four games. Unfortunately, the rookie reaggravated that same knee issue after just three plays in Week 11.
Achane was inactive in Week 12, but will he return in Week 13? When will he be back? Let's dive in.

De'Von Achane Latest Injury Update - November 28
Despite practicing in a limited fashion for most of the week leading up to Week 12, Achane was still inactive. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said multiple things went into that decision, including the fact that the team was playing on a short week.
His practice status leading up to Week 13 will be key for the rookie's availability on Sunday. He has already missed six games this season, and Miami could continue to be careful with its young running back with the playoffs in mind. Right now, Achane is day-to-day.
De'Von Achane Fantasy Football Outlook
When healthy, Achane has been an easy start in fantasy football. He has only been active for the Dolphins in five of 11 games this year, and if you take out Week 2 (where he played just six snaps) and Week 11 with his injury, there have only been three worthy fantasy days for the rookie.
But in those games, Achane finished as the RB1, RB4, and RB4 while averaging an absurd 31.9 half-PPR fantasy points. When on the field, the rookie has one of the highest ceilings for fantasy running backs in the entire league. The only problem has been his inability to stay on the field.
The Dolphins will likely take a careful approach with their rookie running back. If active for Week 13 against the Washington Commanders, chances are he might see fewer chances on offense as he works his way back from injury. However, it might still be worth the risk to start him because of his big-play ability. All he needs is one play to score 15-plus points.
