1 year agoThe New England Patriots re-signed quarterback Will Grier to their practice squad on Tuesday after they released him this past weekend. It was a bit odd that the Patriots waived Grier from the QB room with Mac Jones being benched yet again in the Week 12 loss to the New York Giants on Sunday. The Patriots didn't even really announce a starter in the lead-up to the Week 12 contest coming out of their bye. After another multi-interception performance and benching after halftime, it would be a surprise if Jones made the starter over Bailey Zappe in Week 13 against the Los Angeles Chargers. The 28-year-old Grier hasn't appeared in an NFL game since 2019, but if things continue to get worse at the position for New England, we could see him in there before the end of the year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
