ANALYSIS: New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Demario Douglas has been the team's top receiver, but he was forced out of Sunday's game against the Giants with a head injury. It's not clear at this time if he'll take the field against the Chargers on Sunday or not.
If he's held out, the Patriots wide receiver room becomes a big mess. Veteran DeVante Parker is the best bet to lead it, while JuJu Smith-Schuster could see additional work as well.
One name that hasn't been thrown about as much but maybe should be is Tyquan Thornton, a second-year player out of Baylor who the Pats took in the second round last year. Thornton saw a season-high five targets this week, though he caught just two of them for 19 yards.
Tyquan Thornton is a talented player who just hasn't really seen the field a ton this year as he started the season on IR with a broken collarbone. He's a very fast runner who might have some value as a boom-or-bust flex play in deep leagues if Douglas misses time, though he can safely be left on the wire in 12-team fantasy football leagues.
