BALLER MOVE: Sit in 12+ Team Leagues
POSITIONAL VALUE: WR5
ANALYSIS: Minnesota Vikings wide receiver K.J. Osborn was a popular waiver wire add a few weeks ago after the team lost Justin Jefferson to a hamstring injury. However, the former Miami wide receiver is only the WR56 for the year, averaging 6.7 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He has 33 receptions on 51 targets for 384 receiving yards and two touchdowns this season.
More importantly, Osborn has been awful in his two games with Joshua Dobbs on the team. He has only three receptions on four targets for 24 receiving yards and 3.9 fantasy points. Furthermore, the veteran had fewer targets than Brandon Powell in both games.
Unfortunately, the Vikings won’t have Jefferson for tonight’s critical NFC North divisional matchup. Yet, fantasy players shouldn’t trust Osborn.
The Chicago Bears have surrendered 27.9 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, around the league average. However, they have held wide receivers to 24.1 fantasy points per game over the past three weeks, giving up fewer than 120 receiving yards twice.
Osborn isn’t startable with the offense flowing through T.J. Hockenson and Jordan Addison.
