Tyler Allgeier Sees Decreased Role Again
1 year agoAtlanta Falcons running back Tyler Allgeier began the season splitting the backfield duties with rookie Bijan Robinson. However, it appears the Falcons are finally ready to let Robinson loose and he has been making the most of it. That means, Allgeier will become the No. 2 option and see a reduced role going forward. On Sunday, Allgeier rushed 10 times for 64 yards in the win over the New Orleans Saints. A majority of his carries came in the fourth quarter as the Falcons were just trying to run out the clock. He did average 6.4 yards per carry, but the volume is going to be the biggest concern going forward. Fantasy managers should consider Allgeier a touchdown-dependent RB3 heading into next week's matchup against the New York Jets.
