Zach Charbonnet In Line For First Career Start
1 year agoSeattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet is set for the first start of his professional career in Thursday's game against the San Francisco 49ers. Regular starter Kenneth Walker III (oblique) suffered a non-contact injury during a rushing attempt against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 11 and carries a doubtful tag after not practicing this week. Charbonnet took over that game and finished with 15 carries for 47 yards and six catches for another 22 yards through the air. The rookie won't have it easy in the late game on Thanksgiving as the 49ers have one of the league's better run defenses. With DeeJay Dallas (shoulder) and Kenny McIntosh the only other backfield options for the Seahawks, Charbonnet should still see enough volume to be a low-end RB2.
