Aaron Jones Ruled Out For Thanksgiving Day Showdown With Detroit
12 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones (knee) was ruled out by the team on Wednesday due to the knee injury that he suffered in last week's win over the Los Angeles Chargers. After the news broke that the injury was to the veteran's MCL, there was no real shot that Jones would find his way back onto the field with such a short turnaround. There is no official timetable for the 28-year-old, but the Packers did not feel the need to put Jones on Injured Reserve, a positive sign for fantasy managers. AJ Dillon (groin) is listed as questionable for the matchup with Detroit but would be the clear top back if active, with Jones now out and fellow backup Emanuel Wilson (shoulder) being placed on Injured Reserve. James Robinson has been signed to the active roster and should be the No. 2 back as long as Dillon is active.
