Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Detroit Lions
Week 12 Overall Half-PPR Rankings: 11
Week 12 Running Back Half-PPR Rankings: 6
Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs has exploded on the fantasy football scene over the last month of the season. The rookie runner has averaged 130.5 yards from scrimmage in his last four contests and has found the end zone five times during that stretch. David Montgomery returned in Week 10, but Gibbs has still seen 31 touches over the last two weeks.
He averages 5.2 yards per carry and has seen no fewer than five targets in his last five games. Needless to say, he's a must-start fantasy option in a favorable matchup against the Green Bay Packers in Week 12.
Tony Pollard, RB, Dallas Cowboys
Week 12 Overall Half-PPR Rankings: 15
Week 12 Running Back Half-PPR Rankings: 9
Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Pollard will look to keep building momentum in a Week 12 game against the Washington Commanders on Thanksgiving. Pollard scored a touchdown and put up double-digit fantasy points in Week 11 for the first time since Week 6. It's been a disappointing season for the hugely hyped runner, who has recently seen his usage decline in favor of Rico Dowdle (ankle).
Still, though, Pollard remains the starter and should at least get a chance to get things going against the Commanders in this one, and with Dowdle questionable with an ankle injury, Pollard could return to his every-down role if only for one week. He's a high-end RB2 with upside.
Raheem Mostert, RB, Miami Dolphins
Week 12 Overall Half-PPR Rankings: 24
Week 12 Running Back Half-PPR Rankings: 16
Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert (ankle, knee) was listed as limited in practice on Wednesday for the second straight day this week. Mostert saw double-digit carries (a season-high 22) for the third straight week and eighth time this season in the Week 11 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. He ended a two-game touchdown streak but picked up 86 rushing yards, while rookie De'Von Achane (knee) aggravated a knee injury after just returning from Injured Reserve.
Achane's presence in Miami's backfield concerns Mostert and his fantasy managers, but the explosive rookie could be limited or out on Friday against the New York Jets. Until further notice, Mostert is a must-start as Miami's primary ball carrier with his exceptional nose for the end zone this year. If Achane is out, Jeff Wilson Jr. should see change-of-pace touches behind Mostert.
