Welcome to a special Thanksgiving edition of WR Matchups to Target. Last week four of our five picks finished in the top 10 at the position in DraftKings points, with multipliers ranging from 2.9 to 5.4 DK points per $1,000 in salary. We’ll use the same principles to make picks for this week.
The Thanksgiving slate features three divisional matchups this year with Packers vs. Lions, Commanders vs. Cowboys, and 49ers vs. Seahawks. Expect a lot of action through the air on Thursday, with four of these teams currently among the top 10 in passing yards per game.
Each week, we use matchup data from PFF to determine wide receivers to target based on who they will be primarily lining up against that week. Below are five of the top WR vs. CB matchups for this week’s DFS main slate. Use these to set season-long lineups, make player prop picks, and gain an edge in DFS.

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys
$8,700 on DraftKings, $9,200 on FanDuel; vs. Benjamin St-Juste
Lamb enters Week 12 as the WR3 overall with five appearances in the weekly top-10 for receivers, helping earn him the title of most costly receiver on the Thanksgiving slate for both DraftKings and FanDuel.
Lamb has a sizeable matchup advantage on Thursday, projecting to line up most commonly against CB Benjamin St-Juste (67.6 PFF grade) and Emmanuel Forbes Jr. (52.9 grade). The Commanders deploy man coverage at a top-10 rate which bodes well for Lamb. He commands a 34% target rate against man coverage this season compared to 24% against zone.
With a tight wide receiver list in the game with the highest over/under on this slate, don’t hesitate to pay up at the position by picking Lamb in both cash and GPP contests.
Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers
$5,000 on DraftKings, $6,200 on FanDuel; vs. Jerry Jacobs
Despite a lackluster 2023 campaign to this point, the Green Bay passing game enters this week on a high note, having topped 300 passing yards in a game for the first time last week. The Packers are the only team on this slate with a top-10 matchup according to PFF’s strength of schedule tool.
The Green Bay receiver with the best matchup this week is Romeo Doubs, the team’s leader in targets and receiving touchdowns. Doubs has the sixth-best individual player matchup this week according to PFF lining up on the outside of the formation 84% of the time, highlighted by a particularly juicy matchup against right CB Cameron Sutton (58 PFF defensive grade, compared to Doub’s 71.8 offensive grade).
The Packers are expected to continue throwing the ball with RB Aaron Jones out for the foreseeable future. As Jordan Love’s favorite end zone target, Doubs is a great bet, particularly in GPP/tournaments.

Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders
$4,600 on DraftKings, $5,700 on FanDuel; vs. Jourdan Lewis
The Commanders have their work cut out for them this week against Dallas, the third-best team in defensive DVOA and the seventh-most difficult matchup for receivers according to PFF.
If there is one weakness in the secondary for the Cowboys, it would be slot corner Jourdan Lewis, who has a paltry 51.7 PFF defensive grade this season. Dotson has operated from the slot 43% of his snaps this season and projects to line up opposite Lewis for much of this game.
The former first-round pick has had a nice ceiling but a low floor this year, with touchdowns in three of his last four but two zero-catch performances since Week 6. Dotson has already surpassed his target count from last season and is building a rapport with gunslinger Sam Howell. Look for Dotson to continue his hot streak this week.
Happy Thanksgiving, and good luck with your DFS contests!
