Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson was the main man in Monday's 4-3 overtime triumph at Seattle, posting two assists and firing in the game-winning goal with 3:28 played in the extra frame. The 27-year-old made a mark all over the ice, generating a game-high six shots while blocking two efforts from the opposition and delivering one hit. Andersson reached the 10-point mark with his Monday's efforts. He has posted three goals and seven assists in 14 games, with 37 shots on goal and 34 blocks. The Flames are playing much better lately and Andersson is benefiting from the improved form, grabbing half of his 10 points in the past four games.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson (rest) will miss Thursday's finale against the Kings, ending his 100 percent appearance record in 2024-25. The year was a mixed bag for Andersson, as he matched his career high with 11 goals but finished with 31 points, his lowest total in four seasons. He is also set to finish with one of the league's worst plus/minus ratings, having gone minus-38 over 81 games. The Flames defense will also miss Jake Bean (rest) and Joel Hanley (rest) on Thursday, allowing Zayne Parekh and Hunter Brzustewicz to get their first taste of NHL action.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson will be available against the Dallas Stars on Thursday night. He missed the morning skate, but Flames head coach Ryan Huska has confirmed that Andersson will play. Although Andersson has struggled for much of the season, he should feel confident heading into Thursday's matchup. Over his last seven appearances, he has scored two goals and provided five assists. This scoring surge has brought Andersson to a total of 10 goals and 28 points for the season, having played 70 games. The Swedish rearguard averages over 24 minutes of ice time per game and is expected to have another busy night against one of the top teams in the league.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson registered his second three-point game of the season as the team took down the New York Islanders 4-3 in overtime Saturday night. Andersson scored all of his points with assists, helping Matt Coronato, Jonathan Huberdeau, and Nazem Kadri light the lamp. Following the 4 Nations break, Andersson went eight games without any points, but he has since found some form. Over his last six appearances, Andersson has averaged a point per game. However, it has been a tough campaign overall for Andersson, who has settled for 27 points (nine goals, 18 assists) in 69 games while recording a minus-25 rating.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

Calgary Flames defenseman Rasmus Andersson was the driving force behind Sunday's 4-1 victory over Edmonton, scoring the team's first goal and dishing out two assists. He led the team in ice time with 24:58 and finished with an outstanding plus-four rating while logging two shots, three blocks, and one hit. Calgary has been an early-season surprise package, winning all three games so far and scoring goals for fun. It's helped Andersson to have a superb start to the campaign. He is tied for the scoring lead among defensemen with five points (two goals, three assists) and also tops the league with a plus-six rating, along with Vegas' Brayden McNabb.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
