1 year agoWinnipeg Jets forward Gabriel Vilardi could return to the club's lineup before the end of their current road trip through Tampa Bay, Florida, and Nashville. The 24-year-old suffered an MCL sprain in mid-October and was initially handed a four-to-six-week recovery timeline while he began skating on Nov. 9. Vilardi was part of the package that came to Winnipeg in a deal that sent center Pierre-Luc Dubois to the Los Angeles Kings. He tallied 23 goals and 41 points in 63 games as part of his best NHL season to date in the 2022-23 campaign and recorded an assist and nine shots on goal through his first three games with the Jets prior to his knee injury.--Brenton Kemp
