Zach Charbonnet Takes Over For Injured Kenneth Walker III
1 year agoSeattle Seahawks running back Zach Charbonnet had a season-high 21 touches in Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams. The rookie was tapped to take over the backfield reps after Kenneth Walker III (oblique) left in the first quarter due to injury. Charbonnet took 15 carries for 47 yards and caught all six of his targets for an additional 22 yards through the air. The severity of Walker's injury is yet to be determined, but postgame comments from head coach Pete Carroll were not promising, referring to the injury as "legit." Seattle's next game is a Thanksgiving Day showdown against the San Francisco 49ers, so it is likely that Charbonnet will remain at the top of the depth chart in Week 12. DeeJay Dallas would move up accordingly, and rookie Kenny McIntosh may finally make his NFL debut as well.
