Josh Jacobs Struggles In Week 11 Loss
1 year agoLas Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs had a lighter workload, rushing for 39 yards on 14 carries in the Week 11 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Jacobs' rushing yardage dropped off after eclipsing 100 yards last week. The Raiders running back also finished with one reception on one target for 12 yards. With the Dolphins strong run defense, interim head coach Antonio Pierce let his rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell sling the ball 41 times. Despite being heavily targeted by O'Connell in Week 4, Jacobs did not see targets in a game where the Raiders were throwing often. The Raiders running back has a Week 12 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, who have allowed the sixth-most yards per carry this season. Hopefully, the trend will reverse, but the new coaching staff may prefer not throwing to running backs. Despite the lack of targets, fantasy managers should feel confident starting Jacobs as an RB1 weekly since the Raiders want to continue featuring him.
