Dennis Smith Jr. Out For Sunday's Matinee
1 year agoBrooklyn Nets guard Dennis Smith Jr. (back) will miss Sunday's game against the 76ers. The Nets have been without Ben Simmons (back) and Cam Thomas (ankle), so Smith had been getting extra work in the backcourt. Although the 2017 No. 9 overall pick has averaged only 5.8 points this season, the Nets have relied on his skills on the defensive end, meaning Tyrese Maxey and De'Anthony Melton could benefit. That said, Spencer Dinwiddie and Mikal Bridges should absorb most of the minutes at the one and two spots. However, Lonnie Walker IV, who had 23 points on Friday, is worth considering for streaming purposes.
