Daniel Vogelbach Non-Tendered By Mets
1 year agoNew York Mets first baseman Daniel Vogelbach has been non-tendered by the organization on Friday. This doesn't come as much of a surprise given Vogelbach's lack of success at the plate this past season. The 30-year-old slugger was likely going to make at least a few million through salary arbitration this offseason. He slashed .233/.339/.404 with 13 home runs and 48 RBI in 78 games with the Mets last season. His defense is below average and Vogelbach can really only hit off right-handed pitchers. There should be another organization willing to give him a chance as a designated hitter. However, it's unlikely that he'll be a viable fantasy option in most formats.
