Rays Widely Expected To Trade Tyler Glasnow
1 year agoThe Tampa Bay Rays are widely expected to trade right-hander Tyler Glasnow and his $25 million salary this offseason. "We know this -- when the Rays look at players and their salaries creep upward, they tend to move on," MLB Network's Jon Morosi said. "And I think that Tyler Glasnow, for that reason, is out there and available today and this week." The 30-year-old starter will become a free agent after the 2024 season. He was limited by a left-oblique strain in 2023 but still made 21 regular season starts and had a solid 3.53 ERA with 162 strikeouts in 120 innings. Glasnow has injury concerns, but when he's healthy, he has the potential to be one of the best shutdown starters in baseball.
