Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis was the 128th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Davis had a productive college career, totaling 152 receptions for 2,447 yards and 23 touchdowns in three years at UCF.
The former Knight star had an impressive rookie season. Despite having only 62 targets, Davis had 35 receptions for 599 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. He finished second on the team in receiving touchdowns that year behind Stefon Diggs. The former UCF star had high expectations in 2021. However, he failed to meet them.
Davis had 35 receptions on 63 targets for 549 receiving yards and six touchdowns in his second NFL season, nearly identical numbers to his rookie year. However, he was better in 2022. The former Knight had 48 receptions on 93 targets for 836 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

What Has Gabe Davis Accomplished This Season?
After the former UCF star was a popular third-year breakout candidate in 2022, many fantasy football players gave up on Davis. However, the young receiver is having the best year of his career. He has 31 receptions on 49 targets for 434 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season, second on the team. Davis is second on the team in targets, receiving yards, and touchdowns, only behind Diggs.
More importantly, the former UCF star is the WR33, averaging 9.6 half-point PPR fantasy points per game. He is on pace to have 59 receptions on 93 targets for 820 receiving yards and nine touchdowns this year.
Should I Start Gabe Davis In Week 10?
Unfortunately, the fourth-year wide receiver has been a boom or bust player every week for fantasy players. Davis has three games this season with over 18 fantasy points, including two weeks ago against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, he also has three games this year with under 1.7 fantasy points, including against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 9.
Tonight, Davis faces the Denver Broncos at home. Denver has surrendered 27.3 fantasy points per game to wide receivers, slightly above the league average. However, they’ve played well lately. Over their past four games, the Broncos have held wide receivers to only 18.6 fantasy points per contest, giving up 17 or fewer twice.
Meanwhile, Denver had two weeks to prepare for this matchup. Fantasy players should avoid starting Davis tonight unless they can ignore the potential downside with the veteran wide receiver.
