Matt Manning Going Through Throwing Program
1 year agoDetroit Tigers starting pitcher Matt Manning (foot) had his 2023 season cut short due to injury. Luckily, it sounds like the 25-year-old is progressing well since fracturing his right foot mid-season. The right-hander has been going through his regular offseason throwing program without any issues. That is a good sign that Manning shouldn't be limited at all heading into spring training. He held a 3.58 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 50/21 K/BB ratio over 78 innings in 15 starts before going down due to injury. Manning could be a key piece to the Tigers rotation if he can stay healthy next season.
