NHL Waiver Wire Adds: 11/13 to 11/19

As I analyze the available players for your team, I will pay close attention to those who have potentially been promoted in the lineup, either due to their excellent performance or because of a teammate's injury.

Additionally, I will consider players who have an advantageous schedule this week, meaning they are facing weaker opponents or playing in favorable conditions. Lastly, I will keep an eye out for players who could be receiving a boost from an injury, whether it's their own or their teammates, as this could increase their playing time and overall performance.

NHL Waiver Wire Goalies

Semyon Varlamov

Opponents this week - Edmonton, Vancouver, Seattle, Calgary

Varlamov, who is currently rostered on 27.2% of ESPN leagues, has been the best goalie for the Islanders this season, especially on the road.

However, Sorokin is now the starter and that is unlikely to change. Nonetheless, there are several teams in the NHL where Varlamov could instantly become the starter, and with his reasonable cap hit, there is a possibility that he might get traded at some point this season. If that happens, you would have acquired one of the top starters in the league.

NHL Waiver Wire Forwards

Opponents - Carolina, Vegas, Columbus

I was taken aback to discover that Atkinson was only present in 29.2% of ESPN leagues. What was even more surprising was the realization that I was not among the 29%. Realizing my mistake, I immediately rectified it. Atkinson’s performance has been noteworthy, having already scored 8 goals, 4 assists, and 48 shots in just 15 games. His average shot per game is more than three, which is an impressive feat.

I anticipate that he will continue performing at this level as he remains on the top line and the first power play unit. Overall, Atkinson is an excellent player to consider adding to your team, and his stats speak for themselves.

NHL Waiver Wire Defensemen

Opponents - Florida, St.Louis

Mr. Ferraro, a player in the NHL, has been mentioned for the second time in the waiver wire article. He is currently only rostered on 10% of ESPN leagues. However, this is not indicative of his potential as a player. On average, he makes 2 shots, 1.5 hits, and 3 blocks per game, which makes him a valuable asset to any team.

Additionally, despite his lack of goals, it's only a matter of time before he scores one or two given his impressive stats. Therefore, he is highly recommended as a must-add player, particularly for those in deeper leagues who have extra bench spots and are looking to improve their team's performance.
