Is Demario Douglas Playing in Week 10?
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Demario Douglas has been very impressive during his brief NFL career. While he's yet to find the end zone, he has over 50 receiving yards in two of the last three games as well as 10 receptions and 14 targets over the past two weeks. His role is growing.
However, Douglas appeared on the injury report this week with an ankle injury, putting his availability for a Sunday contest in Germany in doubt.
Douglas carries a questionable tag into Sunday's game. The fact that he hasn't been ruled out ahead of time suggests he should have a good chance to play. The good news for fantasy managers is that as long as you're awake before the early kickoff, you'll be able to have a full range of options to replace Douglas if he's ruled out.
Demario Douglas Fantasy Football Injury Outlook
The improved play from Demario Douglas recently has been a good sight for the Patriots, but it's worth noting there's a disparity between his real-life importance and his fantasy value.
Douglas has helped New England's offense move the ball more consistently, but he has yet to really have a huge game from a fantasy perspective, topping out at five catches for 55 yards and no touchdowns.
The Colts present a good opportunity for Douglas to have the best game of his career, especially with fellow wide receiver DeVante Parker (concussion) already ruled out. Still, temper expectations, as Douglas is a WR4 option this week.
