Is Curtis Samuel Playing in Week 10?
Washington Commanders wide receiver Curtis Samuel missed his first game of the season last week with a toe injury. With Samuel out, Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson each saw eight targets, while Byron Pringle and Dyami Brown were targeted four times each.
The Commanders got some good news this week though, as Samuel is in line to return from his one-game absence and play on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.
While one can never rule out a pre-game setback, fantasy managers should head into Week 10 with the expectation that Curtis Samuel will be good to go against Seattle.
Curtis Samuel Fantasy Football Injury Outlook
Curtis Samuel had a strong opening to the season, with at least 50 receiving yards in four of the team's first five games. He's gone under that mark in three consecutive games now, though there's a caveat, as he played just 19% of the team's snaps in the game where he was injured.
Still, it does feel like Samuel's fantasy upside has taken a little hit as Dotson has gotten more involved. The Commanders lead the NFL in passing attempts per game though, so there might still be plenty of targets to spread around even with an ascending Dotson and a healthy Samuel in the fold.
This first game with Samuel back could be a risky spot for him though as we wait to see how the Commanders fit him back into things. He should be viewed as a WR4/5 option this week because of the uncertainty over what his role might look like.
