Stefon Diggs Injury Update for Fantasy Football
Last week against the Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs caught six of his seven targets, finishing with 86 yards and a touchdown. He now has a league-leading 70 receptions for 834 yards and seven touchdowns, though three of those touchdowns came in one game against Miami.
Diggs was a surprise addition to Friday's injury report though, showing up on it with a back injury. The Bills play the Broncos on Monday Night Football this week, so Diggs won't get an official injury designation until Saturday.
It's never a good sign when a player shows up on the injury report late in the week, so keep an eye out for what the Bills say about Diggs on Saturday.
Stefon Diggs Fantasy Football Outlook
Diggs has been one of the NFL's best wide receivers this season. He's gone over 100 yards five times, though he's currently on a three-game stretch where he hasn't hit that mark.
This week's matchup with the Denver Broncos is a perfect opportunity to have a huge showing. Provided we don't hear news on Saturday or Sunday morning that puts Diggs' Week 10 status in doubt, fantasy managers should consider him a WR1 option this week.
If you have the ability to add Khalil Shakir to your fantasy bench this week, he could provide a decent insurance play if Diggs ends up ruled out for Monday's game. Shakir has four or more receptions in three straight games.
