Kyler Murray Injury Update
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) will see his first game action on Sunday for the first time since suffering a torn ACL in Week 14 of last season. The 26-year-old returns to action roughly 11 months after the major injury, and offensive coordinator Drew Petzing is suggesting that he'll have no restrictions as a runner. "He's healthy, he's ready to go and we will put him in a position to be successful," Petzing said.
Petzing acknowledged that there is a risk with him getting hit and tackled, but it's part of Murray's skill set. While expectations should be tempered for Murray, who could be rusty, he has immediate QB1 upside if he's at full strength. The former No. 1 overall pick has over 2,000 rushing yards and 23 rushing touchdowns since entering the league in 2019. (NFL.com)
Deshaun Watson Injury Update
Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) practiced in full on Wednesday. All signs point to Watson suiting up once again in Week 10 against the Baltimore Ravens after playing his first full game since Week 3 against the Cardinals in Week 9.
While he seems to be fully recovered from his shoulder injury, he didn't look particularly impressive in the Week 9 win over Arizona but he tossed a pair of touchdowns and ran for 22 yards. He has a much more difficult matchup this Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens and should be avoided for fantasy purposes if you have the option to sit him.
Justin Fields Injury Update
Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields (thumb) is officially listed as doubtful to face the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. Fields has not played since being knocked out of the Week 6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings due to a dislocated thumb.
He is not expected to play, so undrafted rookie Tyson Bagent will make his fourth straight start. Bagent has thrown for just under 700 yards, three touchdowns, and six interceptions in 3.5 games. Carolina has allowed the 13th-fewest fantasy points per game to quarterbacks this season, so he remains off the fantasy radar. DJ Moore and all of the other Bears' pass-catchers have flow floors with Bagent under center.
Will Levis Injury Update
Tennessee Titans rookie quarterback Will Levis (foot) finds himself on the Week 10 injury report with a foot injury, but he was listed as a full practice participant on Wednesday. It's worth noting, but the Titans have already named Levis as their starter for this Sunday's contest against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It will be the 24-year-old's third career start as Ryan Tannehill rehabs a high-ankle sprain. Tannehill, who was limited in practice on Wednesday, will handle backup duties when he returns to full health.
Levis tossed four touchdowns in his first NFL start in Week 8 but wasn't as effective in last Thursday night's loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, although he still flashed plenty of upside and nearly led the team to a game-winning drive at the end of the fourth quarter. He will have some QB1 upside in Week 10 against the porous Tampa defense.
Ryan Tannehill Injury Update
Tennessee Titans quarterback Ryan Tannehill (ankle) made his return to practice on Wednesday and was listed as a limited participant. It was the first time that Tannehill has practiced since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 6. The veteran signal-caller is clearly improving, but the Titans named rookie quarterback Will Levis as their starter moving forward.
It means that whenever Tannehill is game-ready, he will be serving as Levis' backup while holding a clipboard on the sideline. Even in his first two NFL starts, Levis has displayed much more upside for Tennessee's offense than Tannehill. The 35-year-old Tannehill was completing only 62 percent of his pass attempts for 1,128 yards, two touchdowns and six touchdowns in six games before getting hurt.
